Market Readiness and Future Variants
While the MAN Lion’s Coach E is not yet available for mass production, MAN plans to unveil the electric bus in October, with production slated to begin the following year at its Ankara, Turkey factory. The initial model will be a three-axle vehicle with a maximum gross weight of 54,600 pounds (27.3 tons) and a length of 45.6 feet (19.3 meters), accommodating up to 61 passengers. This phased approach allows MAN to refine the technology and gather real-world data before full-scale production.
Following the introduction of the first Lion’s Coach E model, MAN intends to expand its electric coach lineup with additional variants.
